Botanical charts with a black background are a perennial favorite. London based designer Julia Muggenburg has raised the bar by creatively using a botanical diagram as wallpaper for her bathroom and by having it further gilded by artist James Bowyer.

Smashing, don' t you agree?

For kicks, here are a few more images where botanicals are set off by a dramatic black ground. My favorite is this first image by Mary Delany, whose used delicate scissors to create a scientifically accurate paper collages during her 70's.
