ART RULES: My Room of the Week

When I pick my room of the week, I choose one where the art makes the space.

In this room by Raji RM & Associates for the 2012 Kips Bay Showhouse, designer Raji Radhakrishnan  snapped a photograph at the Metropolitan Museum of Art of a painting by  Romanticist artist  Pierre-Paul Prud'hon entitled   'Andromache and Astyanax.'    Raji then had her digital photograph blown up to create this stunning wall mural.  The original painting was done in 1819 in France.  You can see more of the room here and on the Raji RM website.
