What is campaign furniture?

CAMPAIGN FURNITURE:  Any furniture made to be foldable or collapsible, or separable into parts for ease of travel.   Historically, it takes its name from military campaigns where the officers would pack up their furniture to take to the next battleground.

The hardware is distinctive.  It has a minimal profile where handles are recessed, and frequently extra handles are added to the sides, to facilitate stowing and carrying.
