I was promised that a visit to a bath and kitchen  showroom  would be transformative, but, believe me,  I was skeptical.  There is so very much to see during Milan Design Week and so little time.  Was this visit really going to be that good?

The answer is yes.  My visit to the Milan showroom of Designhounds' sponsor, Gessi was truly inspirational.  I have the conviction of a convert and I can't wait to share.

First they wowed the Designhounds  with a demonstration of zen and balance, to signify their commitment to wellness.  We watched a performance artist with a very steady hand balance large rocks amidst a light show, rousing music and captivating images of nature and water, all in an IMAX-like setting.

That led to the unveiling of their new concept in faucets, Equilibrio.  I see it in spas everywhere.

One would think that the Equilibrio act would be tough to follow, but not at Gessi.   Their showroom is styled so well, our tour yielded countless ideas for your next bath or kitchen reno. Here are some favorites.

The back-to-back placement of the faucets in this double vanity is something  I would surely copy.

My spine would welcome the back support built into this tub's design.

And let's take a closer look at the vanity to the rear.  I love the lines of the faucet and sink, and I am enamored with the suede door fronts of the vanity.  Gessi will help source anything they display in their showroom.

The integral ledge on this basin is the perfect spot for my makeup brushes! Razors too.  It is a fine solution for a tight space.

A faucet that delivers boiling water practically instantaneously  would change my cooking forever.

It's party time.  This tub is like a small swimming pool.  I can imagine a couple of kids in there having the time of their lives. What a way to find joy in the everyday routine.

When the Gessi folks asked the 'hounds what we thought of the basket weave design of this kitchen faucet, everyone jumped up and down with glee.  Do you agree?

Finally, my wine glass would be quite at home on the matching side table for Gessi's new Fascino tub.  Frankly, the whole Fascino suite (more seen in the first photo) is supremely elegant.

Located right in the heart of Milan's Brera Design District, the Gessi Showroom is a must-see during Milan Design Week.

While all opinions are my own (as always), this post is sponsored by Gessi. Thanks for supporting the brands that help fund my blogging adventures.
